Martin D Hyde - Contemporary Artist
Martin D Hyde is a contemporary artist based at Haarlem Artspace in Wirksworth in the Peak District. He has an MA with distinction. Through his paintings, he reflects on his life as a person living with depression, those around him and his place in the world. His work explores isolation, belonging, identity, divide, empathy and love.
His paintings have been used for album artwork for critically acclaimed bands such as LAU, The Little Unsaid, and Joan as a Police Woman. He has been shortlisted for the Ashurst Emerging Artist award and the RBSA. He has collectors of his art worldwide including Claridges Hotel in London.
